We recently completed a survey of farmers in eleven small watersheds across Ontario. These watershed areas have been chosen for the survey because they are representative of the various soil types and commodities across southwestern Ontario. As well, six of these watersheds were surveyed in the 1970s and will be able to give us a better idea of how far Ontario agriculture has come over the decades.
Across these watersheds, we surveyed 200 farmers! These farmers manage roughly 50,000 acres.
